Was this an excuse for their friends and fans to get together? Or was there a community in their music? Mad Fables was the first Indie band, drawing thousands of people to their self-run events. Many more people say they "saw the band live" than actually exist in the state of New Jersey. (*)
The year is 1975, the hum-drum year. Mad Fables never had a hit, never had a song played on a commercial radio station for that matter. That's where the story begins.
The legacy is their fans. And these are the tales and songs...
The Bruces are the accolades for the new year 2010! Bruce Warren has released new surf melodies, and Bruce Radtke is currently gigging in Bloomfield, New Jersey !
Mister Warren, Fable friend and guitarist, has released several new tunes from sessions which follow in his surf-tide echoes. In addition, Bruce provided a lot of "red" jpegs of which we only used a few. Revisionist History can be heard at the Bruce Warren music pages.
And Bruce Radtke has taken unto himself his forefather's brother's name, Honey Henzel. Creating a buzz in Romania and small traveling caravans, Honey Henzel and the Pick Pockets has "torn up the joint" at Pianos in Bloomfield. The gypsy jazz/early swing band is at Pianos weekly every Thursday through January. Check 'em out: they're not to be missed!

(*) - For the record, this is not true and is totally fabricated, but it sounds pretty sweet. The largest crowd was 12000 at Kutztown Festival.
