- All right...it's been a long summer and as a lot of you know, the album is finally out. Some interesting and a few boring things about said album: it ran over our budget. It costs five dollars. The little imp on the cover is Farkus. The man who looks surprised is not Fred MacMurray, Ward Cleaver, or an insurance salesman. Rich tells us that it's nobody from a bakery in Lyndhurst, N.J. There are no credits on the album because it would have pushed us further over budget, and this way the plain white back cover preserves the original bootleg flavor.
- Last month it was reported that a tape supplement could be made for three dollars. This sounded too good to be true...good tapes with nothing on them cost more than three dollars. When Racky ordered fifteen tapes, it was re-evaluated and the new price is five dollars and a thank you to Mike Dugan for taking the time to record them. OR if you want you can supply your own tape to be used. In both cases, please enclose a self-addressed and stamped envelope. Judges decisions are final.
- Anyone who has connections (e.g., My second cousin works for the deli that delivers coffee to Columbia Records) whould write down the name, address and position of that person. (Not sitting or standing, but their job title.) After an evaluation we will see about getting a copy of the album to them.
- !Rodney Hartung, long time ally of the Madmen, keeper of Spose, and winner of the Loudest Foot Stomper Contest, is moving to Florida to sell soyburgers to biodegradable tennis players. Good luck and we'll see you on New Years.
- The month of September brings about the monthly change of names. Racky is now Mike and Mike is now Doogie. In South Jersey, Bob Reckard once again becomes Space and Space is back to Bob Burke.
- Speaking of the South...The once-rumoured, now-revealed Red Oak addition will be coming in September and with that is the first return engagement of MAD FABLES to the Oak on the 31st.
- New places include Queen Victoria on the 13th and 18th, and The Stables on the 16th and 17th.
- A silk screen is slowly setting up operations in the Blairstown garage. Next month MIGHT mean a new T-shirt design.
