May 1978 Newsletter

Every year our feast of Springtime brings together friends who are interested in celebrating food. On May 21, 1978, we present for you palates a joyous affair to delight your olfactory senses and please that gluttonous part of us known as the belly. There is no doubt to the fact that this feast will once again surpass the last in all facets. Just remember: the important thing is the 'food' ( pasta, salad, casserole, stew; vegetables, cake, or Cordon Bleu; homemade ice cream, pickled beets; whats we brings is whats we eats). It should be capable of serving a large family of trolls with tapeworms. If you don't want your dish back, please don't put your name on it. It is true that many people our age can live for extended periods on beer alone, but we would like to see everyone in the Spring spirit. No prizes will be awarded for hot dogs. Please collect you own trash/ This year the band promises to have an inexhaustable supply of toilet paper for the needy. (Who used the coffee filters last year?) Jeff says to bring your mitts. For baseball.

DIRECTIONS: Get a map. Find Route 80 and either a) Take the HOPE-BLAIRSTOWN exit onto 519 North and follow to 94 South (left turn), or B) Take 94 North exit. Both A) and B) stay on 94 until you see a Dairy Queen ahead. Turn on to Vail Road and stop at the third building. If by chance, you run into some fog, the phone number is ###-###-####.

May 3 is both Wednesday and Sunday. Mad Fables will be in concert outside in the Montclair State ampitheater. Pretend you're a dentist and take the day off.
A new arena for the sounds of the Madmen on their path to success and glory is Schooley's Mountain Inn in the town of the same name. Look for them there on the 10th and 31st.
If you feel like shooting the bull on May 18th, the Taurus party might be your place at the Hainesburg Inn. Stroudsburg State Mad Chapter please note.
Our good frined, ally, sometimes roadie/ lights, and cosmic mechanic, Mike Angelo was involved in a car accident in April. He is now involved in casting for Marcus Welby at Room 212, Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ. We are sure that he is going to have the fastest healing body on the East Coast.
Trivia question: What local rock group's T-shirts were for sale in a Star advertisement?
          We'll be back...
