Dugan, Mike, the lead guitarist, lent his
name to the original band. Dugan's Boy jammed during the
summer of 1972 in a Montclair State University dormitory. They
actually played one gig under that name in some out of sight,
quite forgettable bar in the Oranges. The bartender of this Mafia
owned tavern, who had a dubious reputation, asked if he could
provide the band with musical equipment. "Just write down
what you want and my friends will take care of it. It's how
Sinatra got his start." Mike sometimes played mandolin in
their countrified music selections.
Mike has been playing the East Coast for the past forty years. You can visit his web site at mikedugan.com to learn more about his sterling career.
